POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced Tuesday that Tim Heneghan has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations. Heneghan had served as the school's Coordinator of Events and Facilities Operations for the past two seasons.

Heneghan is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling, operation management and maintenance for all of Marist's athletic facilities, as well as overseeing game day operations for all events hosted on campus.  As a member of the Red Foxes staff, Heneghan has overseen MAAC championships in water polo, men's lacrosse and baseball, as well as playing an active role in the facilities coordination for Marist's many summer camps.  Heneghan was also instrumental in Marist's role as a host of the 2005 Empire State Games and development of the department's first ever game management manual and athletic facilities website.

In his role at Marist, Heneghan works closely with the office of the executive vice-president, physical plant and contracted architectural firms in the planning, design and execution of athletic facility capital improvement projects.  While at Marist, Heneghan has aided in the development of the Tennis Pavilion, the Leonidoff Field renovation project and the McCann Field House seating enhancement project.  Heneghan also oversees all theatrical and concert productions held within the McCann Center.

Heneghan came to Marist from Seton Hall University where he had served as Facility Manager for two years. At Seton Hall, Heneghan oversaw the facilitation of all on-campus athletic events and managed game operations equipment for the Pirates. He also supervised the building and event staffs, among numerous other duties during his stint in South Orange, N.J.  In 2004 Heneghan was honored as the recipient of the Most Valuable Pirate award given annually to the athletic department staff member of the year.

A 1999 cum laude graduate of Loras College (Dubuque, Ia.), Heneghan earned his Master's degree in Sport Management from Indiana State in 2001. While at Indiana State, Henghan served as graduate marketing assistant in the department of athletics, assisting with client-sponsored and non-sponsored athletic in-game promotional events. He also handled all clubhouse duties for the Stadium Golf Course, including hiring, training, staffing and payroll of employees.

Heneghan, a member of NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) also holds a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification given by the National Swimming Pool Foundation.  A native of Chicago Heights, Il. and 1994 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, he currently resides in Poughkeepsie.
