LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Sophomore Nicki Nesi (Pelham, N.Y.) of Marist finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on the first day of competition at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Rider University. Nesi posted a time of 11:15.55.
The 4 X 800-meter relay team of freshman Molly Weeks (Ridgefield, Conn.), freshman Janelle Solviletti (Billerica, Mass.), junior Christine Coughlin (Latham, N.Y.) and senior Jackie Gamboli (Stony Point, N.Y.) finished sixth in 9:23.16.
After the first day, Marist is in seventh place with seven points.
The championships will conclude on Sunday.
