WELLESLEY, Mass. -  The Marist men's lacrosse team outscored Penn State 2-0 in the fourth quarter, but could not come all the way back. The Red Foxes fell 9-8 in the neutral site game March 10 at Babson College and are now 3-2 on the season.

Junior Joseph Radin (Long Beach, N.Y.) scored all four of Marist's goals in the first half, tallying six to tie a career high. Freshman Gannon Morrison (Cary, N.C.) had Marist's two assists and junior Dominic Montemurro (Kings Park, N.Y.) scooped up a team-high four ground balls.

The Nittany Lions answered Radin's first two goals in the first quarter with scores from juniors TJ Sanders and Matt Sexton. Both teams were deadlocked at 4 heading into the locker room at halftime.

Penn State opened the third quarter on a 3-0 run, but Morrison assisted senior Drew Nesmith (Montclair, N.J.) on Nesmith's ninth goal of the season at the 9:17 mark of the fourth quarter. Senior Mike Begley (Brookeville, Md.) scored fewer than three minutes later to bring Marist within one goal.

Sanders scored five goals for Penn State and sophomore Drake Kreinz scooped up seven ground balls. Sophomore Connor Darcey made 10 saves in goal.

The Red Foxes will open up Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play when they host Monmouth at 1 p.m. March 14 in Tenney Stadium.
