ANN ARBOR, Michigan - With the help of four goals in the fourth quarter, the Marist men's lacrosse team (3-4, 1-0 MAAC) charged back to take down Michigan, 7-6, in the Big House for the first overtime win of the 2016 season.

At the 2:26 mark of the extra frame, junior J.D. Recor fed sophomore Gannon Morrison on the right side for the game-winning goal. Recor ended up with five points while Morrison had a goal and a pair of assists. Redshirt sophomore Brian Corrigan made 10 saves to pick up the victory in goal and classmate Nick Nye went 7-for-17 on faceoffs and scooped up three ground balls on defense.

Michigan had a pair of scores in the first quarter before Marist tied the game two minutes into the second period on a goal from senior Joseph Radin

The Red Foxes erupted in the fourth quarter, outshooting the Wolverines 10-5 and taking advantage of seven Michigan turnovers. Junior John Vigh hit the back of the net twice in fewer than three minutes to cut the Wolverines' lead to 6-5 before Recor's 12th goal of the season tied the contest at six with 2:58 left to play. Marist caused a turnover the final Michigan possession in regulation, but ended up going into overtime for the third time in seven games this season.

Redshirt junior Gerald Logan got the loss in net despite making 14 saves for Michigan and leading a defense that had 28 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. The Red Foxes did end up outshooting the Wolverines 36-28, however.

Marist will host Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Canisius at 12 p.m. March 26 in a contest that will be broadcast throughout New York State on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
