POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team will head to Delaware for the NCCA Opening Round on Wednesday, May 10.
The Red Foxes enter NCAA play at 10-7 on the season. Marist earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference automatic qualifier by virtue of winning the conference championship on Saturday against Siena, by a score of 12-7.
Daniel O'Meara was named Most Valuable Player of the MAAC Championship, while
Joshua Balcarcel, Kurt Wessner and Dylan Bedell was named to the All-Championship Team. Marist enters NCAA play on a six-game win streak.
Delaware is 12-4 overall and won the CAA Conference title, defeating Stony Brook 13-10.
If the Red Foxes prevail on Wednesday, Marist will face #1 overall seed Duke on Sunday.
The Red Foxes have won four MAAC championships in program history (2005,2015, 2019 and 2023). This is Marist's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance (2005, 2015, 2019 and 2023).
