POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Riding a two-game winning streak, the Marist football team returns home to Tenney Stadium on Saturday to face Pioneer Football League foe Jacksonville.
The game is part of Family Weekend at Marist, and will have a special 6 p.m. kickoff time. Fireworks will come shortly after the game's conclusion. All Marist football tickets are $10 or less. Winning Streak
Marist (2-1 overall, 1-0 PFL) earned its first win of the season two weeks ago in its PFL opener against Stetson, 38-17. Last week, the Red Foxes prevailed at Georgetown, 14-12, for their second road win against a Patriot League school in program history.
Great Games With Jacksonville
The last four games between Marist and Jacksonville (1-1 overall, 0-0 PFL) have been decided by a combined total of 18 points.
Strength vs. Strength
Both Marist and Jacksonville had a PFL award winner this past week. Red Foxes' linebacker
Willie Barrett was named Defensive Player of the Week, and Dolphins' quarterback Rylan Wells was named Offensive Player of the Week.
Fireworks
This is the only night game of Marist's 2017 home schedule, so it will be the only opportunity to see a fireworks show at Tenney Stadium after the game.
Atmosphere
Since Tenney Stadium opened in 2017, Marist football has had 11 crowds of at least 3,000. Four have come on Family Weekend, and two additional ones have come on fireworks show nights.
Start Time
This is the first time in Marist's nine years in the PFL that the Red Foxes have had a home night game against a league opponent.
