POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The men's lacrosse team kicked off preseason on Wednesday January 10
th with the team's official practice at Leonidoff Field in Tenney Stadium.

The Red Foxes arrived back on campus almost a week before classes start with over three weeks to prepare for the start of the season. Their first game of the season will be at Bucknell on February 3
rd.

The team returns a bevy of talented players with eight returning starters; five of them being seniors.
Brian Corrigan is considered one of the top goalies in the country, finishing the last two seasons in the top ten in save percentages, saves per game and goals against average.
Gannon Morrison was a MAAC All-First team recipient last season and led the Red Foxes in goals, shots and shots on goal. Senior
Nick Nye will lead a defense that finished 14
th nationally in man down defense.
Michael Smith and
Joe Tierney look to build off a freshmen season where they were both named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

The Red Foxes face a tough non-conference schedule. Yale and Maryland are ranked third and fourth respectively by Inside Lacrosse. In addition, Marist will face Air Force who qualified for the NCAA tournament last year.

Marist looks to make the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship game for the fifth year in a row and to win the MAAC for the first time since 2015. Last year the Red Foxes were edged by Monmouth 9-8 in the finals.
