THIS IS MARIST VOLLEYBALL

The Marist volleyball program's first MAAC season came all the way back in 1997, a whopping 23 years ago. After an up-and-down beginning to the Red Foxes tenure in the conference, Marist made its first postseason run in 2009, defeating #1 Fairfield 3-2 in the semifinals. Four years later, the Red Foxes began the most dominant three-year stretch in program history. From 2013-2015, the team won 67 total games, and went 42-12 in conference play. Marist appeared in the MAAC Championship match all three seasons. The Red Foxes are coming off a 17-13 season in 2021, which included a 12-6 MAAC record. The future of Marist Volleyball is bright.

Marist Volleyball takes great pride in academic success. Marist has been awarded the AVCA Team Academic Awards for 15 straight years, which is tied for the sixth-longest streak currently in Division I volleyball. This is the highest total by any MAAC school. Along with that incredible streak, the Red Foxes also have earned an NCAA Public Recognition Award for ten straight years.

CULTURE

Sean Byron Action Shot Volleyball

“We take great pride in the family atmosphere we are trying to build within the program here at Marist. To us, volleyball is more than just a sport - it is a lifestyle. We keep things ultra-competitive, yet we have fun doing it. And along the way, we are building bonds that will ultimately feel like a second family. Family is the core of our culture.”

“One of the main values we have as a team is family. To us, being a family means embracing the small moments just as much as the big ones and creating a supporting environment for everyone. Coming into practice with my 16 best friends each day is the most humbling and rewarding experience. Through all the ups and downs over the years, the love and respect we have for each other has only grown. I'm forever indebted to this program for giving me my second family.”
