Final Stats
New York, NY---The Marist College women's indoor track and field team competed in the Fordham Invitational yesterday afternoon.
Junior Susan Golden (Vernon, CT) smashed her own 1000-meter record by almost six seconds with a first place time of 2:57.98. This narrowly missed the ECAC Qualifying mark of 2:57.54. Senior Jen Stewart (Newburgh, NY) tied her triple jump record with a leap of 34' 7.75'', and set an indoor personal record in the long jump with a leap of 16' 6.25".
In the 5000-meters sophomore Jenn Rosenblatt (Naugatuck, CT) placed second with a time of 18:35.11 and junior Jen Klier (Williamsville, NY) finished fourth in 18:51.25. Each were personal bests for the Red Foxes. In the 3000-meters, senior Liza Grudzinski (Branford, CT) placed third in an exciting race with a career best of 10:13.21.
The Red Foxes return to action on Friday and Saturday, January 25th -26th, to compete at Boston University's Terrier Classic, in Boston, MA.
