Bronx, NY-The Marist College women's indoor track team placed eighth at the Fordham Invitational today held at the New York City Armory. The Red Foxes finished ahead of teams from Fairleigh Dickinson and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Iona.
Sophomore Alison Keller (Cheshire, Conn.) was the sole winner for the Red Foxes placing first in the 60-meter high hurdles in a time of 9.30.
Senior distance runner, Susan Golden (Vernon, Conn.) finished second in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:57.68, less than a second behind winner Sarah Conway of St. Joseph's, who finished in 2:56.98. Cheryl Fil (Wappingers Falls, NY) placed fifth in the mile in a time of 5:34.32. Liza Grudzinski (Branford, Conn.) finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:59.12.
The Red Foxes return to action Sunday, January 19th, when they travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational.
