The Marist College water polo team had a good day at the Hartwick Tournament, picking up a 14-3 win over Utica before falling to Florida Atlantic University 8-2.
Against Utica, the Red Foxes scoring barrage was lead by juniors Ashley Woerner, who tallied four goals, and Susan Russo, who netted three. Alyson Fiorillo added two goals for Marist.
Marist played well against FAU but could not rally back from an early deficit for the victory. Junior Jennifer Gelsomino and freshman Jillian Jefferds each tallied a goal for the Red Foxes.
Marist returns to action on March 27th as they travel to Providence, RI for Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) matches against Brown and Harvard.
