Princeton, NJ: Sophomore Kerri Mannino (Amityville, NY) continued her 2006 breakout track season by becoming the third fastest 10,000-meter runner in Marist track history. Her 38:23.12, fourth place finish at Princeton University's "Friday night Distance Classic" was also the sixth fastest 10,000-meters by a Marist woman.
Fellow sophomore Caitlin Garrity (Watertown, CT) and freshman Katie Topalian (Camp Hill, PA) crossed the line in 40:20.98 and 40:20.99.
The scheduled competition at Rider University on Saturday was cancelled due to cold, heavy rains and high winds.
The women travel to St. John's University on Saturday April 22 to compete in the Metropolitan Championships.
