POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced Tuesday that Travis Tellitocci has been named Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs. Tellitocci, a Benwood, W.Va. native, will handle all marketing and promotions, athletic alumni affairs and special events for Marist's 23 Division I programs.
"Travis has an incredible passion for athletics," said Murray. "He brings with him outstanding experience with the New York Mets and will do terrific work for his alma mater."
Tellitocci, a Marist alum, returns to Poughkeepsie after serving more than two years as Associate Producer for Scoreboard and Entertainment for the Mets. During his stint with the club, he also served as Coordinating Producer for "Halls of Fame" for Fox Sports New York/MSG Network and was the Associate Producer of "Mets Classics" for SportsNet New York.
While at Marist, Tellitocci helped to revitalize Marist College Television (MCTV), serving as President, Vice President and Sports Director during his tenure. He also served as a radio personality for WMAR, Marist's on-campus radio station, and worked various internships with CBS Sports, the Mets and in the marketing arm of the Marist Athletic Department. During his first year on campus, Tellitocci was awarded Interviewer of the Year by the Marist Institute of Public Opinion for polling work in New York and nationwide.
