EDISON, N.J. - For the eighth consecutive year, Marist leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in student-athletes selected to the conference's Academic Honor Roll. The Red Foxes placed a school-record 173 student-athletes on the Honor Roll for the 2008-09 academic year, which was announced Tuesday by the conference.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a grade-point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and be in his/her second year of athletic eligibility. A total of 990 student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll, which is open to full-time and associate members of the MAAC in the 24 sports sponsored by the conference.
