USA Track & Field Junior National Championships Web site

DES MOINES, Iowa - Three Marist runners - Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.), Jackie Gamboli (Stony Point, N.Y.) and Mike Nicoletti (Lynbrook, N.Y.) - will be competing at the USA Track & Field Junior National Championships, which will be held at Drake University.

DelaCruz is the first runner in school history to qualify for junior nationals in two events in the same season, as he will be competing in the steeplechase at 1:45 p.m. CDT Thursday, and the 10,000 meters at 9 p.m. CDT on Friday.

Gamboli qualified in the 1,500-meter run. She will run in the first round of the event at 11:55 a.m. CDT on Friday. If she qualifies for the final, that will take place at 5:25 p.m. CDT on Saturday.

Nicoletti will be running with DelaCruz in the 10,000 on Friday at 9 p.m. CDT.
