NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Marist water polo team won a pair of contests against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Water Polo League opponents on Saturday, as they defeated Villanova 18-9 and Siena 15-12 on Saturday in the third round of MAAC play, held at Iona.
The leading scorers on the day were junior Alexis Solaro (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) made 20 saves in the two games.
Senior Rosie Pauli (Sacramento, Calif.) and junior Kelly Kline (Reading, Pa.) also notched five goals apiece.
Marist is now 16-18 overall and 4-2 in the MAAC. The Red Foxes will return to action on Sunday at St. Francis (N.Y.), as they will take on Iona at 10:30 a.m. and Wagner at 3 p.m.
