NEW HAVEN, CT - Sophomore distance runner Erin O'Reilly (East Patchogue, N.Y.) was the highest place finisher of the day, leading the Marist College women's track team at the Yale Springtime Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

O'Reilly stormed to a personal-best time of 4:48.72 in the 1,500-meter run, placing second overall out of a field of 47 runners. O'Reilly's run highlighted a day of season-best performances for the Red Foxes, who used the meet at as a tuneup for the upcoming MAAC Championships.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, senior captain Jillian Corley (North Sutton, N.H.) broke the 12-minute barrier for the first time and placed fifth overall in 11:59.49.

In the long jump, junior Brooke Kristensen (Mahwah, N.J.) had a personal-best leap of 5.03 meters, good for 10th place overall.

The track team returns to action Friday with a partial squad at the Matthew Vassar Invitational at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. The MAAC Championships follow on Saturday and Sunday at Rider University.
