Saratoga, N.Y- Yesterday the women's rowing team competed at the NYS Championships, and during the first heat of the women's novice 4 event, the boat finished in first place. The Red Foxes finished with a time of 8:44.43 beating out U of R, Binghamton, Army, and Vassar. During the second heat of the event Marist came in second (8:36.60).
The women's varsity 8 finished third in heat 1 (7:20.34) and third in the heat 2 (8:19.71). During the first heat the Marist women's JV 8 came in second (7:41.90).
During the grand finals races, the women's varsity 8 boat came in fifth (7:25.04), the varsity four boat came in third (8:51.83), during women's JV 8 the Red Foxes came in second (7:39.10), and during the women's 4 grand Marist came in third (8:42.11).
The Red Foxes return to action at Dad Vail May 8-9 in Philadelphia, Pa.
