POUGHKEEPSIE, New York -- The Red Foxes are ranked #22 in the nation in the latest National Collegiate Water Polo Association Women's Varisty Week 6 poll released on Wednesday. Marist remained the same from the previous week when they were also ranked #22. This is the sixth straight week the team was ranked in the top 25, with the lowest ranking #24 coming in the January 27th poll and the highest, #20 coming in the February 3rd poll.
The Red Foxes were off last weekend, after competing in the UCSD Triton Invite on February 13th-14th where they lost to #11 UC Santa Barbara 12-3, beat #25 California State East Bay 6-4, lost to #17 Indiana 8-6 and lost to #22 Long Beach State 16-9.
Up next for Marist is another week off, before the team travels to Cambridge, Massachusetts and the Harvard Invitational March 5-6. The Red Foxes will play #15 Princeton University (10:30 AM) and Fresno Pacific University(3:30 PM) on Saturday and Mercyhurst University (11:45 AM) on Sunday.
