Boerke Breaks Fifth School Record at Raleigh Relay

RALEIGH, North Carolina – Six Red Foxes competed in the Raleigh Relays on Friday and Saturday.

Freshman Debbie Boerke broke her fifth career school record and qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 400 meter hurdles with a final time of 1:02.62, good for a 12th place finish overall.

In the 5000 meter run, sophomore Mara Schiffhauer placed 72nd overall with an overall time of 18:14:19 and junior Elizabeth Wasserman placed 92nd with an overall time of 19:06.75.

In the 1500 meter run, senior Kristen Traub placed 39th with an overall time 4:35.39 while junior Janelle Solviletti finished 102nd with a time of 4:54.69.

Freshman Emily Burns placed 27th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with an overall time of 11:18.11.

Up next for Marist is the Colonia Relays in Williamsburg, Virginia on Friday and Saturday.
