POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist women's tennis team lost its 2017 regular season finale when it fell to Quinnipiac, 6-1, on Senior Day on April 24. Marist ended up 8-7 overall and 5-2 in MAAC competition while the Bobcats moved to 11-8 and achieved an unbeaten 6-0 conference record in conference play in the rescheduled match.
Quinnipiac took the doubles point and Marist junior Elizabeth Brozovich fought back to win the final singles match.
The Red Foxes will be the no. 3 seed in the MAAC Championships and will square off against no. 2 Siena (17-1, 6-1 MAAC) in the semifinals at 10 a.m. April 29. The championship match is slated for 10 a.m. April 30 are and both rounds will be held at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey.
