POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Red Fox Network's Marist Minute highlights this past week's events and provides an upcoming schedule for this week.
 
Football defeated Stetson 38-17 on Saturday, September 9, in its 2017 home opener. Redshirt junior quarterback Mike White accounted for 399 yards of offense for the Red Foxes and went on to win PFL Offensive Player of the Week and FCS Honorable Mention.
 
Men's Cross Country ran at the Wolfie Invitational in Stony Brook, New York on Saturday. Marist finished second overall with a total of 70 points.
 
Women's Soccer went 1-1 this week, defeating Seton Hall 1-0 on the road on Thursday, September 7. Marist suffered a 2-1 loss to the University of Maine on Sunday, September 10.
 
Men's Soccer also went 1-1 this week, shutting out American University 3-0 on the road Thursday. The Red Foxes suffered a 3-0 loss to the University of Rhode Island on Sunday.
 
Volleyball got swept at local rival Army West Point on Tuesday, September 5, in its first of four matches of the week. At the Art Carmichael Invitational over the weekend the Red Foxes fell to host Rhode Island in a five-set fight and lost to Columbia, 3-0, on Friday. Marist also suffered a 3-0 defeat to Northeastern on Saturday.
