POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's and women's rowing teams have released their 2018 spring schedule Tuesday afternoon. The men's and women's teams will travel all along the east coast, looking to secure qualifiers into their respective postseason championship regattas.

The Red Foxes kick off the spring season as they make their way to Clemson, South Carolina for their annual spring break training trip on March 9
th through the 18
th.

The Marist men will officially start its 2018 spring season at UMass Amherst, taking on the UMass Minutemen along with Trinity College on Saturday, March 24
th for an all-day event.
Â
On Saturday, March 31
st the men's and women's teams will travel together to Philadelphia to take part in the Murphy Cup.

Both the Red Foxes will be home in Poughkeepsie the weekend of April 7
th, as the teams play host for the President's Cup on the historic Hudson River. The men and women will both take on Army West Point and Fairfield along with the men racing against Rutgers.

After the President's Cup, the women will head to Camden, New Jersey the following day, April 8
th, for the Cooper Invite hosted by Bucknell. The Cooper Invite is the women's first of three trips to the Cooper River this season, one of which is the season finale at the MAAC Championships.

The next weekend (Apr. 14
th), the men and women will head back to Philadelphia for the Kerr Cup followed by the women heading back to Camden for the second Cooper Invite on Saturday, April 21
st.

On Sunday April 22
nd, the men will take on Holy Cross and Temple on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey.

The regular season will wrap up as the men and women will go on to compete against Ithaca, Hamilton, and Colgate on April 28
th in Ithaca, New York.

The men will then take part in the NIRC Regatta on Friday, May 10th in Worcester, Massachusetts. The NIRC Regatta is a qualifier for the IRA's, which take place on June 1
st through the 3
rd on Mercer Lake just outside of Princeton, New Jersey.

For the women, the Red Foxes will look to extend their season at the MAAC Championships in Camden, New Jersey on Sunday, May 13
th. The winning team will earn an automatic qualifier based on the results of the varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four into the NCAA Championships which will be hosted in Sarasota, FL and take place from Friday-Sunday May 25
th -27
th.
