HAMDEN, Conneticut – The Red Foxes survived a late comeback attempt from Quinnipiac to walk away with a 8-7 win.  Marist moves to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Summary
Marist's offense started off strong with
Camille Renaud scoring within the first two minutes of the game. The Red Foxes added three more scores to take a 4-0 lead nine minutes in. Neither team could score during the next 13 minutes due to both teams tightening their defenses.
Kelly George finally broke the ice on a woman up goal with 7:24 left. Quinnipiac scored in the final seconds of the half as the Red Foxes took a 5-1 lead into the locker room.
Morgan Jaycox scored three minutes into the second half to give Marist its five point lead back. But the Bobcats slowly started chipping away at the Red Foxes lead, making it a two point game with 12 minutes left. Mazza scored with four minutes left to give Marist an 8-5 cushion.
Quinnipiac rallied to score consecutive goals to make it a one score game with 58 seconds left. The Bobcat's Allison Kuhn won the following draw control and went for a shot to send the game into overtime but
Delaney Galvin made a clutch save to give the Red Foxes the win.
