POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Red Foxes fell 13-11 to defending MAAC Champs Canisius in the Semifinal round, ending their season.

Both teams came into the match with high energy.
Hailey Wagner and
Camille Renaud took back to back feeds from
Kelly George to give Marist the early 2-0 lead. Canisius responded, scoring two goals in 16 seconds. The Red Foxes held Canisius scoreless for the next 20 minutes while chipping in four more goals. The defense did a great job applying pressure and forcing the Golden Griffins to make mistakes. Allie Stewart's fast break right before the end of the half cut in Marist's lead 6-3.

The two teams traded goals the first five minutes of the second half with a goal from
Morgan Jaycox giving the Red Foxes a 8-5 lead. The Golden Griffins scored three unanswered goals to tie up the game.
Devon Connolly took advantage of a women up opportunity to reclaim the lead but two quick scores from Canisius gave them the lead back.

With 6:24 left,
Hailey Wagner scored her third goal of the game to tie it up 11-11. The Golden Griffins scored two more goals in the next three minutes to take their biggest lead of the game. They won the following draw control and were able to drain the clock and walk away with the win.
