The way team scoring works in cross country is your top five placings count as points, and the higher your team of five places the lower your "score", and the lowest score for a team wins. Teams can submit more than five members to a race, but the top five finishers count for team scoring purposes.
The men also won their race, completing a sweep for Marist.
Following the competitions, Senior Day was held for the Cross Country team as well as the Track and Field teams. 21 members of the team were honored with their families for beginning their last year in the program.
Up next for Marist Cross Country is the Siena Invitational on September 8
th, where the teams will travel to Loudonville to match up with MAAC opponents on their home court.
