GREENVILLE, North Carolina - Marist baseball (4-8) completed their weekend series with #14 East Carolina (12-5), ultimately falling in the final contest 10-5. The teams were tied 4-4 in the top of the third, but the Pirates stacked on four runs in the bottom of the inning to jump out ahead for the win.

- East Carolina scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, but the Red Foxes responded in the second with a sac-fly by Robbie ArmitageĀ to send home Frankie GregoireĀ and Brian Hart's first RBI-single of the day to drive in Reece Armitage.
- The Pirate's Bryant Packard hit a two-run homer to put East Carolina ahead once again in the second.
- Reece ArmitageĀ hit a sac-fly to send in Randy Taveras, and then Hart collected another RBI-single which drove home Tyler KapuscinskiĀ to tie the game.
- The nationally-ranked Pirates scored five runs in the third and fourth innings to create separation from the Red Foxes.

- Marist loaded the bases in the seventh with only one out, but the Pirates converted on a double-play to prevent any Red Fox runs.
