VESTAL, New York – Marist fell to Binghamton 5-2 Friday evening, dropping its record to 4-8.
 
The Red Foxes opened up the match with a 6-3 doubles win from Chloe Lant and Sophia Chavarria in the third doubles spot. Julia Gabay and Sam Galu fought hard to pick up a win from the first doubles spot, but ultimately fell 7-6.
 
Amy Galloway kicked off singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 win from the sixth spot against Maya Haykal. But Marist dropped a number of close matches that led way to a victory for Binghamton.
 
Marist will resume action against Cornell at 3 PM.
