WEST POINT, New York – Marist men's tennis was defeated 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon by Army. With the loss, the Red Foxes fall back below .500 with a 7-8 overall record.
Marist played several close sets throughout the duration of the match. In the sixth singles spot,
Kian Yazdi was in a very competitive singles match. He was able to send his matchup to a tiebreaker set after a 6-3 victory in the second set over Alejandro Quiros. However, he ultimately fell in the tiebreaker set 10-5.Â

"We battled very hard as you can tell by the scores of the sets. They were just a little bit better in the big points. They are a very good squad, and I was not disappointed at all with our effort today," stated Director of Tennis

Marist continues its road trip with a non-conference match on Saturday, April 6 against the University of Connecticut. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
