West Windsor, New York – Marist women's tennis fell to Fairfield 4-1 in the semifinal round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at Mercer County Tennis Center.
 
Marist got things started by securing the doubles point. 
Sam Galu and 
Julia Gabay battled to win in the first doubles spot 6-4 over Aina March and MAAC Player of the Year Amanda Nowak. 
Sophia Moeller and 
Jada Tijani won in the second doubles 6-2 over Emily Lombardi.
 
The Red Foxes played Fairfield close in the singles matches but came up short of earning wins. 
Sam Galu was the closest to securing a singles win by forcing her match to a tie breaker set with a set two win. Galu ultimately fell 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 in the fifth singles spot.
