Marist Athletics Department Announces Senior Awards Content Plan

Finalists To Be Presented Next Four Weeks; Awards Announced Week of May 18

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Marist Athletics Department will not be holding its Senior Awards Banquet.

However, this year's awards will still be presented.

Over the past four weeks, the department has recognized seniors from spring sports who had their seasons cut short as part of its "Senior Spotlight" series, which concluded earlier Monday. Starting on April 14, award finalists and winners will be presented over a six-week span, and will include written content, video, photos, and graphics.

  • April 14-17: Finalists for the Strength & Conditioning and Pizzani awards will be presented. Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Aaron Suma will have comments on each Strength & Conditioning finalist. Head coaches will have comments for both awards.
  • April 20-May 15: There are a total of 20 candidates, female and male, for our Sportsperson of the Year awards. We will feature five finalists per week in this time.
  • May 18-22: This year's Senior Awards – President's Academic Achievement Award, Athletic Director's Award, individual and team Strength & Conditioning Awards, Pizzani Award, and Sportsperson of the Year – will be presented.

Check back at GoRedFoxes.com and on Twitter (@MaristAthletics) for further updates on announcements and award presentations.
