BUFFALO, New York – The Marist men's swimming & diving team prevailed at Canisius, 151-147, on Friday in a meet that came right down to the wire.
The meet was the season opener for the Red Foxes.
- Ahmed Sallam won the 100 free and the 100 backstroke.
- Sallam also led off the 400 free relay, which also included Adrian Bankowski, Miles Maille, and Ethan McCormac. This relay was victorious and clinched the victory for the Red Foxes.
- In addition to anchoring the 400 free relay, McCormac was able to capture the 50 free, and was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay.
- Adam Kapusta prevailed in the 200 backstroke.
- Ethan Gibbs had a strong outing, winning the 1-meter & 3-meter diving events.
The men's swimming and diving team will be hosting Fordham at the McCann Natatorium on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. for its first home meet of the season.
