Annapolis, Maryland – The Marist baseball team went 1-1 on Friday afternoon against Navy. After defeating Navy game one by a score of 4-1, the Red Foxes fell to Navy in game two, 4-1.
 

Game One | Marist 4, Navy 1

• Marist scored first, two runs in the first. A Dylan Hoy triple brought home Brian Hart and Gene Napolitano. Marco Ali singled and drove in Hoy from second base.
• Navy collected a run in the bottom of the second to cut the Red Foxes lead to 3-1.
• However, Marist would have a scoreless three innings. The Red Foxes held Navy scoreless for the remainder of the game.
• Marist added on another run to their lead in the fifth inning. Gavin Norieg collected an RBI scoring Hart from first base.

 

Game Two | Marist 1 , Navy 4

• Once again Marist scored in the top of the 1^st inning, from a Gavin Norieg double to left field.
• Navy tied the game in the bottom of the second inning from a ground out from Zane Raba scoring Alex Smith.
• Navy added two more runs to the scoreboard to end the second inning leading 3-1.
• Navy chipped in another run to extend their lead to three runs, 4-1.
