POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist Women's Lacrosse team earned its first win of the season against LIU by a final score of 14-6 on Wednesday Afternoon at Tenney Stadium.

• To open the second quarter, LIU scored at 11:28, (5-3) and once again at 9:12 to cut the Marist lead to one, 5-4.
• The only other goal before the end of the half was at 1:10 by Kelly Trotta to allow the Red Foxes to enter the half with a 6-4 lead.

Second Half

• To open up the third quarter, Kelly Trotta earned her first hat-trick of the season with a goal at 13:19.
• Alex Di Chiara scored at 12:26 to extend the lead to 8-4, LIU responded quickly with a goal at 12:20 to put them back in with an 8-5 score.
• Kerri Gutenberger got her fourth goal early in the third quarter to make allow the Red Foxes to lead 9-5.
• Six minutes later, Kerri Gutenberger scored her fifth with 4:51 remaining on the clock to end the third quarter.
• Jillian Canner earned her first colligate goal at the beginning of the 4th quarter to make the lead 11-5.
• Kerri Gutenberger scored her fifth at the 13:40 mark to make it Marist 12, LIU 5.
• Hannah Spease scored at 12:25 to further extend the lead to 13-5.
• LIU's last and final goal was at the 8:14 mark to make the score 13-6.
• Kerri Gutenberger was not finished yet and had her seventh goal at 5:16 to conclude the Red Fox win with a final score of 14-6.
