Baseball Falls To Fairfield In Series Opener

Red Foxes Honor Seniors In Game Two

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – On Friday afternoon the Marist baseball team fell to the Fairfield Stags with a score of 9-4. The Red Foxes will play the Stags two more games this weekend to complete the three-game home series.

  • Bayram Hot singled in the first inning, and a ground ball by Brian Hart advanced Hot to second base.
  • Fairfield got on the board first scoring one run in the second inning to take the lead, 1-0.

  • Nicholas Butler flew out to center field to help advance Kapuscinski to third base.
  • Solo home runs in the eighth and ninth inning helped Fairfield add to their lead.
  • In the ninth inning, Justin Kapuscinski and Ethan Conrad drove in runs, and the game ended with a score of 9-4.
