Marist Student-Athletes Excel in Spring 2023 Semester

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist student-athletes turned in another excellent semester in the classroom in the Spring of 2023.

Highlights

Student-athletes posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.362 for this past semester.
The cumulative grade-point average for the Marist Athletics Department stands at 3.369 through the end of the 2022-23 school year.
Of Marist's 23 Division I programs, 22 had a GPA of at least 3.0 this past semester. Nine had a GPA of at least 3.5.
A total of 22 programs concluded the school year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Nine had a GPA of at least 3.5.
The top five team GPAs for the Spring 2023 semester were men's tennis (3.797), women's lacrosse (3.704), volleyball (3.666), women's basketball (3.633), and water polo (3.612).
The top five team GPAs at the conclusion of the 2023 school year are volleyball (3.779), men's tennis (3.710), women's basketball (3.622), women's cross country (3.579), and women's track & field (3.568).
Marist had 562 student-athletes in the Spring 2023 semester. Of these:
- 46 had a 4.0 GPA.
- 268 had at least a 3.5 GPA (47.7%).
- 441 had at least a 3.0 PGA (78.5%).
