Men’s Swim & Dive Triumphs Against Lehigh

McCormac, Zaremba Leads Red Foxes In Win To Begin New Year

BEHTLEHEM, Pennsylvania- The Marist men's swim and dive team won in thrilling fashion over Lehigh, Saturday afternoon. The Red Foxes started the new year with a 140-139 win, led by Ethan McCormac with four first-place finishes.

 
Highlights
  • Adam Zaremba placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle in the win over Lehigh (10:07.17).
    • Zaremba earned a second first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:48.28).
  • Ethan McCormac reached the podium in the 200-yard freestyle. McCormac earned gold against Lehigh with a time of 1:41.41.
    • McCormac also earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in the win (46.81).
    • McCormac placed first in the 100-yard butterfly in the win over Lehigh (49.93).
  • Jack Cimorelli placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke in the win (58.42).
    • Cimorelli placed first in the 200-yard IM, leading to two first-place finishes in the meet (1:56.22).
  • The men's relay team consisting of Ethan McCormac, Adrian Bankowski, Christopher Dauser, and Tim Engel placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:07.34).
  
Records
  • The Red Foxes improved to 4-1 on the 2023-24 season and 2-0 in MAAC play.
  • Lehigh falls to 1-6 overall on the season.
