POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist water polo team announced its schedule for the 2024 season, Tuesday afternoon. The reigning co-regular season champions in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference are set to compete in 35 matches during the season.
 

UCSB Winter Invitational

The Red Foxes compete in four matches at the UC Santa Barbara Winter Invitational starting Jan. 20.

• The Red Foxes play two opponents on Jan. 20 in the Invitational.
  • Marist competes against Whittier College in the first match of the season.
  • In the second match of the day, the Red Foxes play against third-ranked UCLA.
• The Red Foxes play two opponents on Jan. 21 in the Invitational.
  • The Red Foxes play 10^th ranked UC San Diego in the third match of the season.
  • Concluding the UCSB Winter Invitational, the Red Foxes play 25^th Ranked Pomona-Pitzer.

Wolverine Invitational

The Red Foxes travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan for four matches in the Wolverine Invitational. Marist will compete against two ranked opponents during the Invitational.

• The Red Foxes play two opponents on Jan. 27.
  • Marist plays the 15^th ranked Indiana Hoosiers in the first match of the Invitational.
  • The Red Foxes finish the first day of the Invitational against Salem.
• The Red Foxes play two opponents on Jan. 28.
  • The Red Foxes open the final day of the Wolverine Invitational against St. Francis (PA).
  • To conclude the Invitational, the Red Foxes compete against 13^th ranked Michigan.

Bruno Classic

The Red Foxes continue their tournament run with four matches in the Bruno Classic, starting Feb. 3.

• In the first day of competition in the Bruno Classic, the Red Foxes play two opponents.
  • The Red Foxes play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the first match.
  • The Red Foxes play 15^th ranked Indiana in a rematch at the Bruno Classic.
• The Red Foxes conclude with two matches on Feb. 4
  • The Red Foxes compete against Bucknell in the first match.
  • To conclude the Bruno Classic, the Red Foxes play 17^th ranked Harvard.

 

ASU Invitational

The Red Foxes travel to Tempe, Arizona for four matches in the ASU Invitational. Marist will compete against three ranked opponents during the Invitational, starting Feb. 10.

• The Red Foxes play two opponents on Feb. 10 to start the Invitational.
  • The Red Foxes compete against Ottawa University, Arizona in the first match.
  • To conclude the first day of play, the Red Foxes play 14^th ranked Arizona State University.
• The Red Foxes compete against two opponents on Feb. 11 to conclude the Invitational.
  • The Red Foxes start the final day of the Invitational with a match against 12^th ranked UC Santa Barbara.
  • To conclude the ASU Invitational, the Red Foxes play 18^th ranked San Jose State.

  

Bronco Invitational

The Red Foxes travel to Santa Clara, California for four matches in the Bronco Invitational.

• The Red Foxes start the Bronco invitational on Feb. 16 against two opponents.
  • The first match plays between the Red Foxes and the 16^th ranked University of the Pacific.
  • The Red Foxes conclude the first day of play against Concordia University Irvine.
• To conclude the Bronco Invitational, the Red Foxes play two opponents on Feb. 17.
  • The Red Foxes play Santa Clara University in the first match.
  • In the final match of the Invitational, the Red Foxes play CSU Monterey Bay.

  

Convergence

The Red Foxes play in four matches during the Convergence in Claremont, California. Marist will compete against two ranked opponents.

• The Red Foxes play two opponents on March 1.
  • The Red Foxes open the Convergence with a match against 23^rd ranked San Diego State.
  • The Red Foxes conclude the first day of matches with a battle against CSUN.
• The Red Foxes play two opponents on March 2.
  • The Red Foxes compete against fifth ranked UC Irvine in the first match.
  • To conclude the Convergence, the Red Foxes play California Bapist.

  

MAAC Play

The Red Foxes compete in 11 MAAC matches to finish the 2024 season, in preparation for the MAAC Championships.

• The Red Foxes play 20^th ranked Wagner and Virginia Military Institute on March 16.
• The Red Foxes finish the VMI Tournament on March 17 against Villanova.
• The Red Foxes play two matches on March 29 against Siena and Mount St. Mary's.
• The Red Foxes travel to the Villanova Tournament for two matches on April 6.
  • The Red Foxes are slated to play La Salle and 21^st ranked LIU in the Tournament.
• Before the Red Foxes return to McCann, the team will play two matches on April 13.
  • Marist will compete against Siena and Iona in the Siena Tournament.

 

Courtney Fisher Invite

The Red Foxes host the Courtney Fisher Invite in the McCann Natatorium on April 14. Marist will compete against two MAAC opponents in home matches.

• The Red Foxes play Mount St. Mary's and Iona at home to end the 2024 regular season.

 
The MAAC Championships begin on April 26 in the McCann Natatorium. The championship match is slated for April 28.
