POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist women's rowing wrapped up its fall season this past Saturday, November 7th with a home scrimmage against Vassar, Villanova, and Fairfield. The purpose was for all teams to gain spring-like racing experience throughout the workout which consisted of two 500m pieces and three 1500m pieces. At the end of the day, all coaches and athletes felt as though it was a very productive work out and excited to have had the opportunity to practice alongside other competitive crews.
From Coach Tom Sanford:
"Saturday was a great way to end our fall racing season. The team has gotten stronger and faster over the course of the last few months and are looking forward to finishing the academic semester strong. The athletes understand that there is a lot of work to be done and are going into winter training with enthusiasm in anticipation of a strong spring season."
