POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist water polo team has announced its schedule for the 2026 season. The Red Foxes will participate in 33 matches throughout the season, beginning Jan. 24
th.
The Red Foxes begin the season with three matches on their opening weekend. They will be facing Salem and Indiana University on Saturday the 24th and Iona on Sunday the 25th for their first MAAC matchup of the season.
The following weekend the Red Foxes head out to face a couple of Ivy League opponents. The Red Foxes will compete against Brown and Princeton on January 31
st.
The Red Foxes will head to the west coast to play four games split between February 7
th and 8
th. On the 7
th they will compete against University of Pacific and Arizona State University. On the 8
th they will face Fresno State University and San Diego State University.
Next, the Red Foxes will stay out west for four games the weekend of February 13-14. They will be competing against San Jose State University and Cal State Northridge on the 13
th and Santa Clara University and Pomona Pitzer College on the 14
th.
Saturday, February 21
st, the Red Foxes return home for their first home matches of the season with rematches against Salem and MAAC rival Iona.
On Sunday, March 1
st, the Red Foxes set out for two games on the road with one being a MAAC championship rematch against Wagner and the other being another Ivy League school in Harvard.
On the weekend of March 6-7, the Red Foxes head back out west to California for tournament play in the Convergence tournament. Opponents for this tournament are yet to be announced.
The Red Foxes return home, on Wednesday March 11
th, for a midweek match to once again face Iona in a MAAC battle.
The Red Foxes head back on the road, down to Pennsylvania for two matches on March 14
th and 15
th. They will face Viginia Military Institute and Mount St. Mary.
Returning home to play on March 21-22 the Red Foxes matchup against Villanova and once again play against Wagner.
For their second midweek match of the season the red Foxes head on the road to play Siena on Wednesday March 25
th.
For the final road trip of the season the Red Foxes head down to Virginia to Play against Lasalle University and LIU on March 28
th.
Returning home for their final regular season match, the Red Foxes will play against Princeton University on Senior Night, April 3
rd.
The Red Foxes finish the season with 11 MAAC matches heading into the playoffs. The Red Foxes get to stay home to host the MAAC Championships on April 11
th and 12
th.
