Pitching Leads Red Foxes To Series Opening Win Against Niagara

Taylor Earned Win With Six Dominant Innings For Red Foxes

WAPPINGERS FALLS, New York- The Marist baseball team started its series against Niagara in triumphant fashion, Friday afternoon. The Red Foxes took the series opener 6-1 against the Purple Eagles, led by eight scoreless innings from their pitchers.

Will Taylor earned the win for the Red Foxes, pitching six innings and allowing one run. Taylor struck out five batters while allowing five hits in the win.

Ethan Marzo pitched 2.1 scoreless innings for the Red Foxes, striking out three batters.

Caleb Kempler finished the dominant pitching performance from the Red Foxes with 0.2 innings, striking out both batters.
