SOUTH ORANGE, New Jersey- The Marist baseball team won the series opening game against Seton Hall, Friday night. The Red Foxes improved to eight wins in their last nine games with an 8-0 win over the Pirates.
Will Taylor led the Red Foxes with a dominant start in the win. Taylor pitched 7.1 scoreless innings for the Red Foxes, allowing only three hits. The shutout marked back-to-back wins in scoreless fashion for the Red Foxes.
Zach Donahue hit a two-run home run in the top-half of the ninth inning to seal the win for the Red Foxes.
AJ Brotz led the Red Foxes with three hits and three runs scored in the win.
The Red Foxes improved to 11-12 overall and remained 6-3 in MAAC play.
