LOUDONVILLE, New York- The Marist baseball team triumphed in a high-scoring series opener against Siena, Thursday afternoon. The Red Foxes triumphed 13-11 against the Saints, earning the first win of the series.
Jason Claiborn led the Red Foxes with a game-high five RBIs in the win. Claiborn's five RBIs was the highest single-game RBIs tallied during the season.
The Red Foxes improved to 22-25 and 13-13 in MAAC play.
- The Red Foxes took the first lead of the game with an RBI single from Zach Donahue in the top-half of the first inning.
- In the top-half of the second inning, Lewis Rodriguez gave the Red Foxes a 2-0 lead on a sacrifice fly that scored Scott Esposito.
- The Red Foxes continued to add to their lead with two runs in the top-half of the third inning.
- Noel Rivera scored on a throwing error which gave the Red Foxes a 3-0 lead.
