POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Kevin Cannon of the Marist men's cross country team was named the Metro Male Performer of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

The Red Foxes were led by Cannon, who placed fourth overall at the NJIT Highlander Invitational. In the 8-kilometer race, Cannon ran a personal-best cross country time of 25:09.14.

Cannon paced the Red Foxes with a strong performance, finishing fourth among 187 competitors. 

Marist will be back in action on Oct. 17, at the IC4A/ECAC Championships
