WAPPINGERS, FALLS., New York – Marist Baseball defeated Saint Peters in the series opener 5-4 on Friday afternoon behind a huge three run sixth inning.
 
Marist improves to 3-12 on the season.

• Saint Peters struck first driving in two runs in the top of the first inning to take an early 2-0 lead.
• The Red Foxes responded in the bottom of the third inning scoring a run and cutting the lead down to one.

  • Connor Lawerence drove in the first run of the inning with an RBI single.
  • Nathan Lincoln tied the game at four after bringing Connor Lawerence home on an RBI single.
  • Nathan Lincoln scores the go ahead run on a passed ball giving Marist a 5-4 lead.
• Andrew Fierro came into the game in the seventh inning and held the Peacocks scoreless allowing Marist to hold onto the lead.
