Marist Baseball Losses A Hard Fought Battle Friday Afternoon

The Red Foxes Lose Home Opener To Manhattan

WAPPINGERS, FALLS., New York – Marist Baseball faced off against Manhattan in the series opener Friday afternoon. The Red Foxes fought hard but fell to the Jaspers 12-10.
 
Marist falls to 0-11 on the season.
 
SUMMARY
  • The Red Foxes started the scoring early with one run in the bottom of the first
    • TJ Baer scored on a throwing error by the catcher
  • Marist kept it going in the bottom of the third with two more runs.
  • Manhattan responded in the top of the fourth with a two-run single to make it 3-2.
  • In the top of the fifth Manhattan scored another five runs to go up 7-3.
  • Marist fought right back scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth.
