MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The Marist men's cross country team competed against a strong 12-team field at the Jasper Fall XC Invitational on Saturday at the Blue Sky Sports Complex.
The Red Foxes finished 10th overall with a team score of 249 points.
Freshman Sean Galvin once again led the way for Marist, placing sixth overall in the 8-kilometer race with a time of 25:07.4. Galvin was the top finisher among the Red Foxes and continued his strong start to the season after winning the season opener at Vassar Farm.
Matthew Ferreri was the second Marist finisher, crossing the line in 26:37.7 to place 51st overall. Pierce Francis followed in 84th with a time of 27:25.7, while Gavin McGann finished 93rd in 27:36.6.
Rounding out the Red Foxes' scoring five was Kaleb Stoeckmann, who finished 103rd overall with a time of 27:58.3.
Nolan Mussatt also competed for Marist, finishing 121st overall in 28:46.8.
Army West Point won the team competition with 15 points, followed by Fordham (92) and Siena (106). Rider (118) and Quinnipiac (144) rounded out the top five.
The Red Foxes will continue their season at their next scheduled meet.
