- Took 4th in the 200-yard back at the MAAC Championships.Â
- Finished 6th in the 200-yard back at the H20unds Invitational.Â
- Won the 200-yard back against Fairfield and Canisius.Â

- Competed in the 50 Back, 100 Back, 200 Back, 50 Breast, 100 Breast, and 200 IM at the ECAC Championships, earning top 5 finishes in the 200 Back, 100 Breast, and 200 IM.
- Competed in the 100 Back, 200 Back, and 200 IM at the MAAC Championships, finishing as high as eighth in the 200 Back.
- Won both the 100 Back and 200 Back at Canisius.

Kaplan was a three time NCSA qualifier, Speedo Junior Nationals qualifier and a three time State Championship qualifier. He was a member of the State Champion 200 Medley Relay squad. Academically, Kaplan was a member of National Honor Society. Kaplan attended the same high school and club team as fellow 2018 signee Nick Bogush.
