- Went 2-1 in third singles and 1-2 in first doubles in Marist’s abbreviated season
- Opened his Marist career with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Niagara’s William Gothlin on April 16th
- Also paired up with Dylan Friedman for a 6-1 win over the Purple Eagles’ Jorge Sedeno and Manuel Alonso
- Sealed the Red Foxes’ victory over Quinnipiac on April 18th in a 7-5, 7-6 decision against Kemal Karagozoglu
- Started in third singles for Marist’s MAAC Semifinal match on April 24th
- Two-time Section 9 singles champion and two-time New York State singles quarterfinalist
- Enters Marist ranked 16th in USTA Sectionals and 153rd in USTA Nationals
- Four-star recruit according to the Tennis Recruiting Network, and boasts a UTR of 11
- Competed at the USTA National Hard Court (2018, 2019) and Clay Court (2019) Championships
- Graduated as an Honor Roll student, earning the 2018 Sojourner Truth Award for Perseverance and Effort
- Son of Paola Sanchez and Roberto Castillo
- Has two brothers, Sebastian and Lucas
- Both parents played collegiate tennis at Freed-Hardemann University, while his brother Sebastian was a 2019-20 All-American and ITA Regional Champion at RPI, finishing the fall and spring as the third-ranked player in the Northeast and top 10 in the nation
