- Went 3-9 overall in singles play during the 2021-2022 season, going 1-9 in dual matches and 2-0 in tournaments.
- Kawahara competed at the Weil College Preparatory School in Ojai, California.
- He has compiled a UTR of 11.26. HEAD.com ranks him as the 113th prospect in the nation, as well as the 21st in California. Dunlop Sports rates his tennis RPI as 118.
- During his time at the Weil Tennis Academy, Kawahara has won numerous tournaments, including the Designated Lv.3 Tournament in Anaheim, CA back in April of 2018 and the B16 Rose Bowl Open in October of 2017.
- In 2019, he reached the finals of the Oracle ITA Summer Circuit in Ventura, CA, beating an opponent that had a 12.3 UTR in the semifinals to reach that point.
